Four Weddings new season tonight...

I have to say - out of all of the "wedding related" shows that hit the airwaves while I was engaged (and it seemed like I watched them all!), I have to admit that I liked TLC's "Four Weddings" the best. Followed by "SYTTD"...both of which are the only wedding shows I still enjoy watching. The others kind of bore me now that I'm not planning...

I am looking forward to FW tonight - I think what I like the most is that it almost makes you feel like a guest, looking in...and I love being a guest at weddings!

What about you guys? Any wedding themed shows that you still watch? What were your favs when you were wedding planning?

Re: Four Weddings new season tonight...

  • I still like say yes to the dress hahaha!

  • I have been slowly pulling away from the wedding shows but haven't completely given up my addiction yet. I was watching My Fair Wedding (David Tutera) for a while because they filmed an episode at my venue the week before my wedding, and then my hair/makeup artist was on another episode, but Tutera's annoying so I've stopped watching that.  I like watching the NYC version of SYTTD since I got my dress at Kleinfeld's and it brings back nice memories of dress shopping there.

I like Four Weddings too. They were looking for local brides getting married in April to take part in that show and I briefly considered applying for it, but I didn't want to hear any criticism about my wedding!  I know both my photographer and DJ have done weddings that were on the show (side note: my DJ also did Teresa's housewarming party on RHONJ).

I think I've given up on Cake Boss. I watched in the beginning since Carlo's is a few blocks from my house, but it has gotten too ridiculous. (To me that's a wedding show since my wedding cake came from there)

It's fun living in reality TV central!

  • I know! I love that show - still! WE tried to do a similar show based out of a shop in Dallas, but it just didn't grab me the way Say Yes...did :-)

  • Lori, that is cool that some of those shows are local for you!  I liked watching SYTTD when I could catch it On Demand.  Haven't watched any wedding-related shows for a while.  Well, actually I haven't watched much television, period, lately.  I would love to find a show or two to watch for an entire season, but I keep forgetting to turn the tv on (have become such an internet junkie, I guess).
