I try to be a nice person but I finally lost it. We own our home but have rental properties on either side. Lately I can't stand our neighbors.
On one side we have the annoying children. Everytime I step out my door they hang out their bedroom windows yelling "Hi neighbor, hi neighbor, hi neighbor" and it won't end, even if you answer them. Then when I am calling my dogs in they start yelling to my dogs from their window, totally confusing my poor dogs. These are the same kids who try to come into my fenced yard without permission and are constantly in my driveway and front yard (and leave toys all over my yard and drive).
The other side has flea infested cats and dogs they let run loose. The dogs crap in my front yard and the cat pees on my porch. I have asked them nicely to keep their animals off my property but is hasn't worked. The last straw was when I came home from work late last night to find poop covered baby clothes and trash thrown over the fence into my backyard. I have had a rough week and lost it. I stood in my yard and yelled "*&^&%& redneck trash! REALLY! You throw your SH!TTY baby clothes in my yard! What the HELL is wrong with you!!!"
I have always tried to be nice to my neighbors but I think that time has passed. I can't wait until these renters move on...
Re: Neighbor vent...
You've heard what I've done, not what I've been through.
If you were in my shoes, you'd fall the first step."
ditto this is a good idea!
I think talking to the landlords, at least the one won't work. When we had a problem with one of her tenants a year ago, we found out she is notorious for renting to drug dealers (the last dealer to live there was her own son). The family there now are not dealers, just redneck trash. I may be able to talk to the other landlord. On a brighter note, the ones I yelled at have been super sweet to me today, LOL! I am definately not an intimidating person but maybe they think I am just crazy!
