Kari,
Soooo I just got this message Lol.
I'm glad to hear that those horses in Monroe were sold and hopefully are doing better in their new home!
That's awesome about meeting at Wingate! I almost went there for school, but ended up at UNCC for a year then up here at State. At the moment, I would say keep an eye out on Craigslist for people wanting their horses exercised / conditioned. That's how I got my job and it's working out wonderfully. I've been working for the owners on their property since last October and still loveee it (I'll love it even more once the heat goes away). There's also a 'meetup' group for people that ride horses. I believe they go trail riding once a month?
As far as Fuquay goes. . we LOVE it. It's about 30 mins out from Raleigh but it's so quiet and peaceful out here. Our neighborhood developer went under, so there are only 3 houses where we live, but we dont mind. We've gotten to know one of our neighbors really well (gone on trips together) and the other house was just recently sold and we haven't quiet met them yet. Planning to go and introduce ourselves this week.
The guy I ride for also recently told me about a race horse training facility that's apparently right down the road and so I'll be visiting over there this week to see if they need any help / I just want to tour the place. So there's a lot of 'country' out here with horses and farmers

What part of Cary are you guys in? Theres a couple of barns that I could recommend (kind of) in that general area. You've got 'MacNair's'. Its over off Tryon Rd.
There's also 'BuckHorn farm' in Apex. I took an evaluation ride there not long ago and really liked the laid back atmosphere.
Alright. .. well, thats enough rambling. Again, I'm sorry about the soooo late reply. It never appeared in my box until today (crazy nest / knot).
Hope you guys had a great Labor Day weekend!
