feels like home again, with all of you August 2010 ladies here
I was getting sad that the nest did not have the feel of our TK board and that I would need to find a new website where to post life-related things now... So happy to see you all here
Now, which one of you thinks:
Ok, we got married, it took a second, and what now?
Re: Somehow, the Nest
I'll ditto that girl.
I'm glad that so many of us are swtitching over to TN, at least for the anniversary board.
I seriously could not leave my August Sisters -- that's what you all are!
Do the creep.
Agreed! Is it weird to totally just love people you've never met?? I'm invested in you girls, and I know I'll really enjoy hearing all of your married tales.
As for the "what next" part with me, well, I'm sort of glad to be socializing, relaxing, and getting my home re-organized. Additionally, I'm sort of doing a self re-launch with my theater career, and I find that to be an exciting project!
During the wedding planning, I didn't really get to focus on my theater work at all, and now, with a job already booked, (yay me!) I get to enjoy it again.
Oooh and planning a surprise weekend for DH's 30th bday in Dec...shhh!
Branz, what do you do in Theatre? My college degree was in theatre technology, but my job is related, but not actually in theatre. I am always excited to talk to other theatre people!
Oh fun! I'm an actor (and at times a choreographer/teacher, when it's a good gig!) and I pretty much stick to musicals. Or voice-over. I'm in AEA and everything, and tho that limits me around here these days, I'd never go back; I love what I do, on most days. :-)
What's your job???
Fantastic!
I am a project manager for a company that builds children's museum exhibits. I got into it because one of my drafting teachers in college is a project manager with the same company.
svreatch - wow, you have your hands full - I hope your FI does well after the radiation and you will never have to worry about it ever again!
How can we change the siggy here? Anyone knows? I can't remove my wedding shoes and switch them for our wedding photo.
My Blog
I think what is next is focusing on getting our finances back in order and focusing on my career again. I put off changing places of employment until after the wedding, but now think that I might need to start looking. Although I always think that the grass looks greener and I don't want to regret it.
