manic monday

best and worst parts of your weekend

Re: manic monday

  • best - booking my sis' wedding location and possibly finding her wedding dress!

worst - being sick all weekend long. it's going on over a week now. YUCK!!!

  • Best: spending a lovely day with DH yesterday and FINALLY finding a church that we both liked and will continue to go to.

Worst: Made the mistake of finding footage of 911 online on Saturday and it just reminded me so much of that day and put me in a fog the rest of the weekend.

  • Best - spending time with my family and getting to see my Dad at home again (released Friday night). I also got to see some friends and their new house.

Worst - seeing the condition my Dad is in. I feel so awful for him and there's nothing I can do. There's no timeline and I'm terrified each goodbye will be our last. I'm an emotional wreck when I allow myself to think about it. I don't know how my mom can stay so strong. She knows it's only a matter of time - months, years, nobody knows though.

  • Best: We went to a nearby state park for a picnic (with sushi and wine) on Saturday.  It was beautiful there...the weather was great, there was a nice breeze, and you could hear a waterfall behind us.  It was so peaceful and relaxing and BF/FI topped the whole thing off with a proposal!!!

Worst: We ended up in the hospital again with FI's kidney stones Saturday night, so no fun engagement celebrating for us Sad

So, we will get the questions started: when is the wedding? Where are you getting married? When will your mom have grandkids? Wink

Thanks ladies!  I'm pretty excited about it!!!

    To answer your questions....

I have no idea when the wedding will be (probably next year sometime).

We've been talking for a while about doing a DW either somewhere here in the states (Virgin Islands maybe) or outside of the states.  I also love the idea of doing something in Savannah or in a peach orchard.  C doesn't want a big wedding and since this is my 2nd time around (and last), I don't either, so it'll either be something intimate with just the 2 of us or just close friends and family.

As for kids....well, C is getting older and wants kids soon so I'm sure (depending on when we tie the knot) that'll happen sooner rather than later!

And here is the bling (I forgot how hard it is to take a pic of an e-ring on your hand, so this is the best shot I got of it)....

  • Best: Having time to relax

Worst: Two bad bike rides. I'm exhausted from last week's hard/heavy riding and am going to take a few days off.

omg! Congrats! Sorry he had a rough weekend though Tongue Tied

best: Watching True Blood season finale, snuggled up with mrBAMF. He was so sweet and loopy last night

worst: FIL is just bad. He looks terrible and really should be back in Assisted Living being card for 24/7 by medical personnel, not being stubborn in his own home. There's nothing we can do and FILs direct family suck. They are just no good peoples and we both understand that FIL is just a PITA to deal with. Its a no-win situation down there. No

  • Melissa - I'm so sorry about your Dad.

Kat - I'm sorry about your FIL

Martini- YAY YAY YAY!! Congrats!! So exciting!

Noelle - more wedding info on your sis please.

Best - BF coming to Mass with me for the first time, and spending lots of time together over the weekend.

Worst-  he can't fix my car, so I have to take it to a shop.

  • best: spending saturday watching football with our friends, finding a desk for DH sunday for when he starts telecommuting one day a week!!

worst: the UGA game, i LOATHE spurrier. ick.  plus, 2 of our friends are still being super shady.

  • Best: Schuyler pitched in her first softball game yesterday and Caid got the gameball in his game on Saturday.

Worst: I can't stand Schuyler's coach. He's a total jerkoff. It's going to be a long nine weeks.

  • best: booking some stuff for italy and picking out a bunch of new wine with a giftcard we got fot TJs

worst: headaches for both DH and I at different points this weekend, me- a fever as well

  • Best: We went to the zoo then out for wings and football on Sunday. It was a fun family day. I am also excited that U of M is looking good this year, maybe it will help make up for the fact that LSU is looking pretty  darn bad :p

Worst: I was slammed at work on Friday night, and I was overwhelmed from a long work week. Working part-time was so much easier on me. When I work full time, I feel like I do not get enough done at home for the family.
