Weekend Recaps: Post a Picture!

Happy Monday!  How was everyone's weekend?

In the spirit of livening up the board and since pictures speak a thousand words, how about we post a picture from the weekend (or, if you didn't take any personal pix this past weekend, post one that gives the general idea of how yours went)!

Here's mine:

Me and my dog Toby at The Beach for Dog Day.  We had no idea if he'd even get in the water and after firmly planting his feet and resisting the first few times he finally decided to go for a short swim to cool down :).

Re: Weekend Recaps: Post a Picture!

  • I don't have any pics but we had a pretty fun weekend.

Friday I spent 6+ hours at the hospital cuddling with Baby Girl.

Saturday P and I went out to lunch and ran some errands then came home and vegged out and watched sports all evening.

Sunday I worked for a few hours while P ran an errand or 2 that didn't get done on Saturday.  Then we again vegged out and watched football all day long.

I'm already getting into major Fall mode.

  • I don't have any photos but I did make applebutter this weekend.  I even canned the results!!

  • I don't have any pictures, either, but we had a pretty awesome weekend.  I did a ton of homework, worked, and spent time w/ some awesome friends both nights of the weekend.  All in all, it was a great time.  Smile

We thought about going to this but never quite got around to it.  How fun!

  • We went to check out the Renaissance Festival and discovered that the glass blower there lets you make your own stuff! Not only did I get to make a glass pumpkin I walked away with a killer burn as a memory!

We also when to a local farm and got some pumpkins and gourds to decorate with. I'm beyond excited to be back in a place that has an actual fall!

  • I went to big gtg the cincy bumpies had (GNO) on Friday night. I am somewhere in the back.

And then on Saturday afternoon, I went to another gtg with IF ladies from the Columbus area.

It was a last minute thing for us because my Aunt gave us some free tickets.  We had nothing better to do so figured why not :).  Too bad you didn't make it out as we would have loved to have met Roxy!

  • Freelongw00t - Sweet pix!  I bought DH and I some BOGO Ren Fair tickets from HalfPriceCincy so we'll be headed there sometime, too.  All I really remember about the place is giant turkey legs and jousting so should be interesting to go after having not gone since elementary school.  I had no idea they had make your own glass stuff...that's really cool!  I was completely fascinated by the glass blower we saw in Venice this past summer.

Remind me again where you were previously living that didn't have a Fall?  I hate the cold weather and darkness associated with fall/winter but I think if I'd miss the changing of the seasons if I lived somewhere more temperate.  It just wouldn't feel quite right to me...

Oh boy did they have the huge turkey legs! That was our first stop because I was starving. I would recommend doing the blow your own glass thing, it was quite the experience. Plus the most it costs is $45 for a glass pumpkin (you can also make a flower and a ball/ornament), and the already made pumpkins were $30.

We moved here from New Mexico. Fall consisted of the leaves browning and just giving up and falling off the tree. Then we really didn't have winter/snow unless you lived more into the mountains. I grew up in Colorado so I got the snow and the aspens changing into that beautiful golden color! I love the balance that seasons bring. Just about the time I am done with summer...fall/winter hits and vice versa.
