I continued to work on finishing painting the spare bedroom. The painting is all done now. Now I just have to decorate. It's coming along very nicely!
I feel like all I did was work on the house all weekend. Things are finally starting to get done.
Weekend was good.
Friday night we just hung out and had a fairly low-key evening.
Saturday morning I cleaned house, then we headed to the neighbors for her housewarming party for part of the afternoon, after that it was errands/random stuff for the rest of the night.
Sunday had to go buy a new TV because our old one broke. Sad day in our house for the first day of football season. I thought Steve might cry as he seriously pouted around the house like a five year old that got his favorite toy taken away. We got the TV all set up and ILs came over to check out the house (since it's the first time they've been there since we moved...in June. whatever). And, also, FIL wanted to take his car on a long ride and to show it off which is really the only reason they came out. After they left it was just a lazy Sunday.
My parents were in over the weekend so me and my sis and my mom took Dex to the farm to ride the haywagon and feed animals, etc. while my dad went golfing with Paul. Annnnnndddd we bought Dexter this!!! I am so excited for him. He gasped when he saw it in the showroom so that did us in... sold!
That is the coolest play area toy for Dex....so freaking cool!!
Ate lots of food, listened to a bunch of Cubans telling dirty jokes, lots of laughing, and family time...and we came back home to Socal yesterday. I miss the Floridian lifestyle, but I am very glad to be back home as well!
Saturday I had a baby shower and a birthday party. Sunday was spent with football on all day.
I just gasp! I want to come over and try the climbing wall! WOWEEEEEE

Gerrie, I want to try out that thing too. Climbing walls always were my favorite.
I had a great weekend, but as usual it went by WAY too fast.
Friday - Got home from work, cleaned the bathrooms while DH cleaned off the back porch. Then we went to our friends' house to eat burgers. I was so thankful I cleaned beforehand...by the time we got home I was dying to crawl in bed.
Saturday - Got up early to do some cleaning, my parents came over and my mom and I went to my baby shower. It was amazing...bff really outdid herself. (Small vent - I was a little annoyed because more than several people didn't show and never called the hostess to tell her. It would have been nice for her to be able to prepare.) We watched the Bama game at my house afterwards and I ended up staying up way too late.
Sunday - Got up...laid on the couch, went to the fabric store and bought a bunch of fleece for no-sew blankets, back to the couch where I stayed almost until bedtime. I think I overdid it on Saturday.
gerrie, that is so cool! Dex is so lucky!!
we visited my dad this weekend - he's doing great, it was so nice to see him and he just ate up Josie to pieces. i can't wait until he is home!!
