This weekend DH and I celebrated our 6 month wedding anniversary. I rented a room at the Bloomington Hilton (off of 494 and France). I had a Groupon for their specialty restaurant, Chophouse (a steak house). I do not think we will be going back, unless we have another coupon, it was defiantly WAY too over priced for their own good. It was very yummy, but just too much. Our bill was just over $120, without wine, for just the two of us....after the discount we paid $60, so that wasn't too bad. I would have been happier going to FoGo for that price!
Since we said we were celebrating our Anniversary we got a free dessert...cheese cake!!
The best part of the night was before dinner, I had surprised J with a couple's massage in our room. I found them at :

Lynn, the owner is great to work with, and sent over two amazing gals to massage our stresses away!!
Check out her website, I will for sure be using her services again!

Re: great idea for relaxing
Sounds like fun!
We went to the Chophouse on a weekend night at 7:00 and the place was maaaaybe 1/3 full. The food was so-so and at those prices there is no way they can compete with the "heavy hitters" in the steak world (Manny's, Murray's, Ruth's Chris, Capitol Grille etc.) We won't be going back either.
Yup same here....I think if they lower their prices they would get way more guests. I had a strip steak (it was good I have had the same quality at Outback), DH had a rib-eye (he enjoyed it, but again have had better), split two sides: 4 cheese baked-mash potatoe (good!) and asparagus (hands down best food on the table)
I also think they are far too overpriced for Bloomington!
