weekend checks
So I miss the checks that we used to post as we got stuff done for wedding planning. I am bringing back the checks.
This weekend, DH and I started packing up our apartment. We got most of the living room and bedroom packed up, except for clothes. I hate moving and get stressed, so DH is trying to make this as stress-free as possible.
I am so excited to move into a new place with DH!

DH and I got home safely from Hawaii- check!
I hadn't been feeling well all day yesterday (maybe the jet lag?) and though I tried to go to sleep with DH at 5 PM since we missed sleeping Saturday night due to flights, I of course couldn't fall asleep until almost 10 PM.
Today I was feeling still sluggish this morning. But this afternoon I've taken the car to get emissions testing, done some banking and billing, filled out a "loan forgiveness" form (yay for nursing, hope I get it!!!!), and taken care of name change stuff for my student loans. Also marinated the meat for dinner... going to try to get some stuff moved into the new house like clothes... anything I can stuff in my car. And working out tonight. RAVENS GAME at 7PM
Ugh, I hate it too- it does make me SOOOOO stressed. We have only lived in our apt for a year, we moved in 10/10/09, and are moving out 9/18/10 (so just shy of 1 year). Moving is so much work... I am so anal and wherever I move I go and scrub the place top to bottom right before we move in. When we moved into the apt DH was no help. At all. Though he was a big help with moving the big things like furniture to our 3rd story apt.
With the house he has been soooooo helpful and it is a Godsend. He's helped with a little bit of cleaning and with all the yard work and done zero complaining. I seriously hope we end up buying this house at the end of our year because I am not going to feel like doing all this work again. And besides, I love the house and with a little aestheitc work we could make a really nice place out of it
But as of right now, I'm with you. It's such a pain because we started moving things before we left for the HM and that's when I did all my cleaning. There are boxes everywhere in the new place, it feels like nothing is getting done because there's nowhere to put the things away since all our funiture, etc. is still here in the apt. I just can't wait for it all to come together because right now it's stressing me out to the point of avoidance (mostly because I just don't know where to start!).
I hate moving, too! We moved into a new apartment a couple of weeks ago, but the spare room is still a disaster and nothing has been put on the walls.
This weekend my only checks were to turn in my homework assignments--which was a major check!

-Helped FSIL with some last minute wedding checks (her wedding is this weekend!)
-Got my car inspected and oil changed
-Picked up my 2 BM dresses that were altered
-Picked up my gown which was cleaned and posted it for sale on TK and TN

-BIL wedding (I'm a BM and DH is the best man) Yay!
I love checks....
Worked late on Friday night but got a lot done
Sat-spent day with H, mom, brother, SIL, and new nephew (10 days old,) hadn't seen him since he was in the hospital!
Went to BBB completion event and got 20% off items, got extra set of sheets and two more china sets plus a pillow for side sleepers and it has already helped my back this week!!! :-)
