Also TV related, did anyone know that SoapNet is going away in 2012? Why didn't you tell me? Where will I get my 90210 and One Tree Hill fix?
It's being replaced with an all preschool Disney channel, so I can't hate on it too much since Maggie's hooked on Mickey Mouse Clubhouse, but still...what about my needs?
We need another kid channel like we need a national disaster. Every other channel is a kid channel and my kid watches plenty of tv.
I've been looking for some kind of petition or outcry about Soapnet so I can join it, but haven't seen one yet.
Something about Brian Frons wanting to drive us adults back to the networks.
Um, yeah, how about when GH is pre-empted every few days because Mayor Bloomberg feels what he has to say is more important than the happenings of Port Charles??? What then?
I can't even begin to go on about my disgust, dismay, and annoyance.
On that note, I don't think I can watch anything new, except maybe My Generation because I have no room left in my dvr. I'm a show hoarder. My dvr is usually 75% full.

My DVR is full too. 25% kid shows but the rest is all stuff we're trying to keep up with.
Kristen- I can't even imagine what I'd watch when getting ready to go out or on a sunday morning when E is with B at swim. I watch it All. THE. TIME.
I tape my soaps in the evening because I know they won't be f'ed up with NYC breaking news that isn't really news. I'm surprised GH wasn't preempted to let the cat out of the bag that Oprah is taking her audience to Australia.
I don't dvr kid shows using precious space. I use OnDemand. I have The View, Wendy Williams, etc from a year ago that I still feel I might get to.
DirecTV on demand sucks so I have to keep a supply of Sesame, Mickey Mouse, and Blue's Clues on my DVR. We have the whole house DVR so I can flip on a show for her in our room if I'm trying to get a shower which is nice.
I like being able to catch a week's worth of Young and Restless on Saturday nights if I so desire. Plus I like that they start shows early in the morning so when I have to feed Owen at 6 AM on the weekends I can watch some OC. The article I read about this said their ratings are going up, so we aren't alone.
