Pictures to come later. DH and I had a good time, but we're both pretty tired. We're not sure if Vegas is a place that we'd necessarily do again. By the end of it, we were tired of walking and felt like we were seeing the same thing over and over again.

Thoughts about Las Vegas:
Top Three Surprises:
1) The vastness of the Casinos. They?re like giant Chuck-E-Cheese?s for adults, what with the blinking lights and computerized sounds and all. We walked a good five minutes to get from one end to the other of one?. Craziness.
2) Smoking. Allowed almost everywhere. Poolside, restaurants, casinos, hallways, etc.
3) Distances. Everything looks so close on a map (and even when you see it in person), but make no mistake, you?re going to be walking, walking, walking, walking, walking.
4) There were a few wax statues in Madame Taussaudes that we didn?t think looked anything like the actual person.
5) The diversity of the tourists. Every language, all ages? Who knew.
Top Three Favorites:
1) The Beatles Cirque show, ?Love.? Great music. Good times.
2) The Eifel Tower at night. Beautiful views!
3) The Dueling Piano bar in the Paris Shoppes. Great, cheap and relatively clean way to spend an evening. Highly recommend.
4) Max Brenner's Chocolate Restaurant in the Forum Shoppes. SO YUMMY!!!!!!
5) Madame Taussaude?s wax museum. Way cool!
Top Five Regrets:
1) KA wasn?t showing the week we were there. We REALLY wanted to see KA.
2) The ?haunted house? in Madame Taussaude?s Wax Museum. It?s not very innovative at all. I just don?t like haunted houses. The last thing I want to do is walk around in the dark and have things jump out at me. Not cool.
3) Not bringing gym shoes. See ?Distances? in top three surprises. I had flat sandals, but even then, I had to buy moleskin half way through the week.
4) The music that went with the Bellagio fountains. We watched it three times, and the music choices were kind of lame for each: ?This Kiss,? ?God Bless the U.S.A.,? and ?Tea for Two.? Let?s get some BEP going, or something!
5) Not budgeting more money for gambling. $50 neither passed a lot of time nor got us very far.
Top Three Suggestions for Future Tourists:
1) Go to the Eifel Tower around the dinner hour (sunset). The line is pretty short.
2) I think I would recommend staying at the Paris for two reasons: 1) Location (middle of the strip, and near the monorail), and 2) It?s pretty. J
3) Five days is a bit long to spend in Vegas for non-gamblers. Everything got kind of repetitive.
4) Bring a wrap of some kind. Going from outside (HOT) to inside (COLD) is sometimes difficult.
5) Bring lotion, chapstick,? and maybe a Ped-Egg or pumice stone. It was REALLY dry (duh), and my feet were really nasty by the time I got home.
Re: Vegas Review
I should clarify. It's not that we don't like to gamble. It's just that we're not good at it!
What's your game of choice?
And regarding the shoe thing... all I can say is thank God for the walgreens on the strip. The moleskin was a life saver. I had to beg the concierge at the hotel to let me borrow his scissors, though. Embarrassing...
We usually play $5 blackjack and we always set a limit to how much we are going to gamble with before we even go on the trip- that way, when we run out of the gambling allowance, we don't go to the ATM for more. You can seriously get into trouble if you don't set a limit up front.
