I have a sudden urge to buy a house & decorate it...I never had that feeling before we got married. Too bad DH still needs a job before we can think about buying our first home!

Same here! I think part of it is I'm tired of our apartment....white walls, beige carpet, maple cabinets, boring light fixtures...none of which can be changed!

So, I've been doing a lot of cosmetic stuff. New curtains, slipcovers, rugs, etc.

oo I'm totally enjoying my nesting urges off fixing up little parts of our house and reorganizing stuff (because some of it was never organized before) and making everything the way I want it!

Yes, I LOVE nesting! I have always loved to paint and decorate, so I'm having a blast decorating my own home. The best part is that DH just says, "Whatever you think is going to look the best, honey." Haha! We've only gotten our bedroom totally done, but it looks so much better than it did when we bought the place. All of the walls were this deep burgundy color, and most of them still are, but we at least know what color we want to repaint everything. Over my Christmas break (which is a little over 2 weeks long, pretty long for a teacher around here), I plan on painting at least our bathroom and the living room.

I'm also wishing we could get out of an apt and into our own house! But H quit his job last year to go back to school, so that won't happen for quite some time now. I have to settle for fixing up the apt as best I can.

Too bad we're still in an apartment. I don't hate it, but badly want to buy our first house. We're going to the bank sometime to see exactly what we could afford.

But I have been nesting in our apartment a little. I want everything sooo clean, but it's been crazy busy, so our apartment looks like a dump.

Ditto to that! We already lived together in a 700 sq. ft. condo before we were married and we are definitely getting the itch to leave. I now have a subscription to 3 different home decor magazines and love to look through them and imagine all the cool stuff I could do (if I actually had the money to do them). Our neighbours' apartment recently flooded which means half ours did as well, so half of our flooring is out and there are holes in the baseboards when there were fans in to dry everything out. We are renting, so it's so annoying to have to deal with this stuff! I can't wait to get out of here and have my OWN house problems!

I've been doing some nesting everyday. DH found his backpack yesterday we were looking for for HM. Today, I found mine-lol. It's looking a little better around here.

I think DH is nesting more then me. I guess its because he moved into the bachelorrette pad We've live together for two years but he's been doing all sorts of nestie projects. Maybe I'm just over whelmed by our clutter right now. I've been reorganizing but our Highways yard sale isnt for a couple weeks yet so I have a huge yard sale pile in the way.
