Using Vinegar to Clean

Hey guys,

I want to start using vinegar in place of an all-purpose cleaner.  I'm going to use a spray bottle, but I'm not sure if I need to dilute the vinegar or not...Any suggestions?

 Thanks!

Re: Using Vinegar to Clean

  • Yes!! Dilute the vinegar one cup vinegar to every liter of water at minimum. Usually a little less concentration (more water) will work just fine too . . .
  • Oh and if you add lemon juice it'll leave a fresh lemon scent when it dries too :o)
  • I use an old bottle for my mix. I use about half vinegar and half water. It works so well for many surfaces, mirrors and other things in my home.

I love the lemon idea, going to try that next time I make it!

  • Thanks for the help ladies!  Yesterday afternoon I started w/ my new vinegar solution and it worked so well that I couldn't stop cleaning!  It even got stuff of my stove that wouldn't budge with 409.  Yay for vinegar!

  • I love cleaning with vinegar and now use it for just about everything.  It doesn't smell as nice so I will try the lemon idea!!
  • A couple drops of an essential oil works well, too. I currently have a few drops of grapefruit EO in mine and it's lovely.
