Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day?

Do any of you use these products? If so, what can you tell me about them? I'm moving to a new apartment and starting from scratch with cleaning products. These look like they smell really good:)

Re: Mrs. Meyer's Clean Day?

  • I've never heard of them, But Then again the only cleaning product that I don't really make myself is laundry detergent.

I've found that making your own cleaners from things like white vinegar, baking soda, salt, and lemons etc. Tend to work much better than most novelty cleaners and even mainstream ones like 409. If you keep bleach and white vinegar and baking soda handy you can make just about any cleaner you would need, or you can make any cleaner work harder and better :o)

  • That's really great advice. I'm new to this board but I've been looking around and I see that vinegar is definitely the #1 recommended cleaner. I'll give it a try:) Thanks!
  • and baking soda is an awesome scrubber!! Mix vinegar with lemon juice to get a fresh lemon scent when dry (or use apple cider vinegar for apple smells) I keep old spray bottles and make my own bleach cleaners and baking soda solutions etc. . . Salt even has some amazing cleaning properties!! You'd be surprised to know how much these cool things really do . . Like baking soda is a great carpet deodorizer, as well as a good spot cleaner when combined with vinegar, Just be careful not to mix bleach based and ammonia based! One of my teachers lost her sense of smell that way :o(
  • I mostly make my own cleaning products, but I love Mrs Meyers! They are definitely one if the most natural brands available. The Baby line is great, and I use the Basil hand soap in my kitchen. Drugstore.com has great prices, versus Target or BB&B.

  • Thanks y'all, I think I'll head to Target to see which scents I like. I've heard the Geranium is good.
  • Based on a rec from this board, I used Mrs. Myers Lavendar laundry detergent and I love it!  It smells SOOOOOOOOO heavenly, and it cleans well, too (although I only use it on sheets and towels, so nothing that greasy or with stains).
