For those ladies who are interested in a GTG, what are some thoughts?
It seems like there quite a few of us that would like to include our H's so I would like to suggest that we make it a couple's event. We could start from there as to what everyone would want to do. Are we wanting to stick to a restaurant where we could reserve an area type of deal? I'm open to extending my home if people don't feel uncomfortable about it. We could make it a pot luck type deal & keep it low key w/ games, etc. We have a pool table as well, so I think between all of us there will be plenty to do.
Let's throw some ideas out and brainstorm. ![]()
Re: Okay let's talk details
game night potluck?
perhaps everyone bring either a fav game and / or pot luck dish and we go from there.
However,
i don't know about your DHs, but mine can get uncomfortable just meeting strangers (us gals know each other), but maybe more of a park gtg while the weather is still nice on a Sunday afternoon might be less nerve-racking. We could still do potluck, but more yard games instead.

I like the game night pot luck idea. We also like to play pool (even though we suck most of the time)
I'm just thinking out loud here so feel free to keep chiming in...
Since we are open to extending our home to use for a GTG, we def have lots of options. Our house is pretty huge, so we could have things inside to do for those interested such as different games, we have a pool table, and we could also do a corn hole or bocchi ball game outside, etc. I think something along those lines would give everyone different interests to get comfortable with each other and so forth.
For food and drinks, we could all chip in and bring something to share with everyone and make it easy on all of us women.
I hope this goes without saying, but anyone who is interested in coming throw in some ideas and we'll work from there.
For those of you who haven't played Settlers yet...GIVE IN! It's so much fun...but I mostly think that because I have beginners luck and won the very first time I played it.
I love the idea of going to a house and having the board games and outside games and each bringing something. It's totally low key and has something for everyone to do.
I talked to my husband and we're in!
I've never heard of Settlers, but I looked it up and it seems interesting. Spoke to DH and he is up for meeting others. I am the shy one in our house, but games will help me loosen up.... This will be fun!
