ugh..i think some of you saw my status yesterday about this..but it's still going on.
yesterday we got an email saying that there were snakes on campus. our buildings are surrounded by lush landscaping. there are tons of trees, bushes, waterfalls, etc. duh..there's probably a few out there, but I'd like to not think about it. welll, the email went on to say that snakes were actually spotted inside our building! Critter control was called out and as far as we knew, they'd be taken care of.
We got an email this morning informing us that a mom rat snake laid her eggs next to one of our breezeways and when the eggs hatched quite a few came inside. ALL snakes are absolutely terrifying to me, but at least it was a rat snake which isn't poisonous and at least they had contained them. They told us they were taking action to prevent them from getting in including putting down glue mats outside.
We just got ANOTHER 'snake update' email saying that a baby copperhead had been caught today on one of those glue mats! definitely poisonous! ![]()
I am absolutely, completely terrified at even the thought of snakes. i have awful nightmares that they're in the bed all the time. so this is not fun at all for me.
yet another reason I need to get up out of this company :P
Re: snakes at work
Eeeewwwww.
I'm the same way. I have snake nightmares all the time. Living in the country, I have to deal with them, but I do NOT like being surprised by them. We've had them attempt and succeed at getting in our house on more than one occasion - usually right through the door when it's open! Nasty, nasty, nasty.
Pets my children will NEVER be allowed to own:
SNAKES, spiders, hermit crabs (They don't scare me; they just smell nasty.)
Ugh...snakes and spiders totally creep me out, too. I think you need to call in sick until they get rid of the snakes!!
