How has everyone been doing this week?
I had a pretty good week. Lost over 5 pounds with WW! Very excited about that! Hoping I'll be able to keep up my good eating habits this week. I also ran 3 times and each of those were the distance of a 5k. My knees are still bothering me, but I hoping that will go away as my muscles get stronger. Financially, nothing new to report. Spiritually, we decided to stop our church hunt and stick with the church we've been going to for the past few weeks. Ironically, the pastor just emailed us to have coffee to get to know us better!
Re: Wellness Wednesday
i'm realizing that i really just need to try harder. that's all it boils down to. with a last minute trip to Ohio and dealing with family stress, i took a haitus on my workouts. not only do i need to increase workouts, but also amp up my burn!
let me ask you all ... do you consider a power dog walk to be a decent workout? typically for me its about 3 miles. its something i enjoy and the dog needs it. but am i kidding myself into thinking that its my daily workout?
I go to the Y in Davidson. They have spin classes all the time and it's really convenient. They have them every morning at 6:00 and every night at 6:00.
I think it depends on what your goals are. If you are trying to be healthy and active, then I definitely think that a power dog walk is a great daily workout. However, if you are looking for toning or to reach a specific goal (run a 5k, lose 25 pounds, etc.) then you may not reach those goals with that workout routine alone. I think that type of workout is a great way to stay active! I'm hoping to do something similar and mix in a few runs each week once I'm in shape!
