Question for the cooks!

I'm taking a hashbrown casserole to our church picnic this Sunday. I was thinking of putting it in a crockpot to keep it warm all day (the picnic is in a state park at a picnic shelter) but idk if it would cook in the crockpot. Your supposed to bake it in a casserole dish. What do you girls think?

Re: Question for the cooks!

  • You should totally just make it in the slowcooker!  I know that ours has a "warming" function that it automatically switches to when it's done cooking, so that should work perfectly!

  • I would do some googling to see if you can find a similar recipe that is set up for the crock pot.. or check this website.. http://crockpot365.blogspot.com/ and see if there is something else you could make instead! Good luck!

  • Duh! I google everything else, I should have thought of that! lol Yes, you can make it in a crock pot, it just takes 1 1/2 hours instead of 45 minutes. I can live with that! Thanks girls!!
