NYC for Christmas!!!
I am so excited! My mom graduates with her Masters in January, so I really want to do something big for her! She LOVES Christmas and has never been to NYC, so I'm thinking it's about dang time to take her to NYC FOR Christmas 
I have lots of hotel points still from my old job and I have a $400 voucher for Delta. My sisters and future BIL are in on it too! Our idea is to just tell my mom to take off of work and tell her to pack for somewhere chilly. We won't tell her where we're going until we get to the airport!

I went last year in October for a girl's wknd and that was chilly enough for me. I think next time I'll aim for spring. DH has never been, so I really want to take him!

Yeah, when L and I went last October is was freakin chilly, so I know it will be cold, but I can't wait!! Good look-out on the verbiage though; I'll tell her really cold instead of chilly. She's going to think we're headed to Chicago because I always talk about wanting to go there at Christmas. She'll be floored and pumped when she realizes it's NYC!!
I would think cold in Chicago is about the same as NYC. I'd dress really warm if you though October was cold.
That's wonderful! I've always wanted to go at Christmastime. Nick has been and said it was great but FREEZING (not telling you anything you haven't read in this post already - lol).
I've only been a couple times in the freaking hot of July. We may go next anniversary.
