Guess what............

So remember how I was going to PA to see my aunt for Labor Day weekend because I had to get away? Well guess what. I also decided it was time to see my biological mom after 25 years. I was a nervous wreck at first. And her and husband were coming down aunt's street as I was taking a shower. Aunt had to tell them to go to gas station for about 20 minutes. I had never dressed myself, done hair, and got make up so fast in my life. It went pretty well though. She answered questions and didn't make excuses for herself etc. Everyone was crying and emotional and he was crying too. He asked for my forgiveness for taking mom away, etc. I am still anxious over it all, etc. Guess it's what to be expected.

I'm sure that was a lot to take in one day. Do you feel better about things now. A sense of closure? WIll you still keep in touch with yer.

I feel better in the sense that she took responsbility for her part in the whole scheme of things. When she heard that I had blamed myself for what happened and everything. She took me in her arms like any mother would. There is still a lot that I have to work through with a lot of things that happened, my self image, that I am not the one to blame for all that happened (I have always carried that around with me), etc. I am in counseling for everything and hopefully this will be somewhat of a place to open up and start with and go from there.
