Another NYC baby!
I guess not to be outdone by Mrs.Kocal and her gorgeous daughter, our little man decided to make his appearance last week too - 3 weeks early!
Needless to say, we were shocked when my water broke last Wednesday, especially since I was at work (most mortifying experience of my life by the way, hahaha). I ran home and we tried to get a few things done - like eat, pack a hospital bag, call a pediatrician, etc. - and headed over to the hospital at 4pm. By 2am on Thursday morning our adorable little man was here.
I actually had a really great labor and delivery experience. He seemed so anxious to enter the world that I progressed really fast and before there was any time for pain meds I was fully dilated and we were pushing. It was all very surreal.
We are home now and figuring out this new life - today was supposed to be my first day of maternity leave (I had planned to go out 2 weeks early) and instead we have our son and he is almost 1 week old. Just goes to show - you really can't plan for anything!
Hopefully my PIP works - we are so in love with him!
