So excited for Ace of Cakes at Devos tonight!

I'm going to the Hospice of Michigan Anniversary celebration in a couple ours.  Duff from Ace of Cakes will be there and we actually get a piece of cake and a "goody bag".  So excited!

  • I would be super excited too!  I had no idea he was coming here.  I have to be gluten free so I couldn't have the cake, but I'd be so tempted to try.  Every time I watch the show I wonder if it tastes good, or tastes like bakery cake.

Chances are it could taste like rice crispy treats since they use a great deal of that to mold designs.

Actually, no, they don't use rice crispy treats very often.  Occasionally, yes, but most of the time it's cake.

I was there tonight!  It was awesome.  What a cool guy!

Wasn't it great???  He was hilarious and does such good impressions.  The cake tasted okay to me.  Not the best cake I've ever had, but the Hospice cake was gorgeous!

  • Yes, it was so great!  I'm really glad that we went.  I feel like I could sit and listen to his stories for hours.

My husband was disappointed that the cake we had wasn't heavier.  It was pretty light. It was good though!

The Hospice cake was HUGE!  I have never seen a cake that big.  And it was neat that he explained who did what -- Elena did most of it, and Katie Rose did the painting.

    Pictures?

I have pictures on my home computer which I intend to upload to FB and my blog at some point.  I can post a couple here though too, if you're interested.
