Re: Health&Fitness Wednesday
My rule of thumb is I don't weigh myself... I used to have major issues with that. I just go with how my body looks and feels because weight itself isn't always an accurate measure.
I am feeling kind blah because we just got back from our HM on Sunday. We ate really well the first week because in Kauai we had a condo and could cook and grill all our own food, it was delicious getting fresh veggies and fruits from the Hawaiian farmers markets. But the second week when we were in Maui we had a hotel and so we had to eat all our meals out. We worked out probably 7 days out of the 12-day trip, but still, after Maui I felt pretty gross from eating out all the time (though it was fun to have some delicious food!).
Now I'm just trying to get back into my regular regime and deal with the jet-lag adjustment!
pre wedding i worked out 5 days a week and measured out my meals very carefully according to the proper amount of protein, fats, and carbs for my ideal weight.
post wedding... well we're more relaxed, and well I've gained 6 pounds, but still less than my pre wedding weight...
.... ok enough excuses, lol, did no working out whatsoever this week... let's see what October brings, as I will be running in the Run For The Cure 5K on Oct. 4...
Caroline, it took me more than a week to readjust when we got back from Hawaii. It was ridiculous; I couldn't fall asleep at night and then I'd end up oversleeping every morning. It really makes you feel awful. But once I got back into a normal routine, I felt SO much better! Good luck!
