Trashing the Dress?

Has anybody done or planning on doing a trash the dress shoot? What are your plans for it? I want to do one without actually trashing my dress...trying to figure out if I can get it wet...

    Hi, I did a trash the dress shoot a couple of weeks ago.

    The dress got pretty dirty and sandy, but wasn't as bad as I thought it would be.  To wash it I hung it out on the line and hosed it.  Got most of the dirt out.There was no pond to jump into, so it didn't get wet on the day.

    I may do it with my friend who is looking to get into photography more seriously. If we did it we'd go to the boardwalk/beach.

    My photographer offered to do a session for me. I was thinking of doing something in October when the leaves change colors. I've seen pictures of TTD sessions where the bride got their dress completely wet...not sure what happened to the dress afterward though. :-/ So not much help for ya on the point.

    My photog offered to do a TTD session for free, whenever I feel like I want to do it.  I'm also thinking October, for the same reasons as pp.  I just think it'll be really pretty.  However, I need to watch what I eat a little better if I'm thinking I want to squeeze back into that dress again!

    Haha, yeah.  I've gained about 5 lbs since the wedding.  I haven't really changed my habits at all, so I'm not sure why, but it's happening.  My dress will not be happy with me unless I can get back to pre-wedding weight before my TTD session.

    I like the Oct idea! I've already thought about the fitting back into my dress... I'm wanting to go all out a just ruin it! DH wants to be in it too and I also am going to bring in flower girl that was unable to be in the wedding and trash hers also! We have Mud trucks so I'm thinking about going that route.

    I've been thinking of doing one too, but I'm going to send my dress off to brides against breast cancer so I don't want to *trash* it. As part of our tux rental package, DH got a free suit so I was thinking about going out to his parents' house where they have horses and a pond and maybe doing something out there with the both of us
