Hey Ladies
So I decided to throw my resume in the job hunting ring. I haven't been happy at my job since before the wedding. I thought it was all the stress and such leading up to the big day, but after the HM and then running into our year-end, things have only gone downhill. And since I've completed my masters and done some research, I found out how significantly underpaid I am. We could REALLY REALLY use a bump in my salary right now. I'm talking a 10-15k bump!!
My headhunter found a really great position for me, its an hour commute, which is like 10 mins further than what I do now. But its with a great company and it seems to have lots of room for growth and opportunity. I haven't interviewed in years and I'm a bit nervous. Its so hard to hear people talk about you in such great light. I've never viewed myself that way. I'm always downplaying my abilities and smarts. But I guess I look good on paper.
Keep your fingers crossed for me ![]()

*wow that turned out to be longer than I thought, hahaha
Re: Interview today
I'll keep my fingers AND toes crossed for you!!
You're awesome and gorgeous and lovely, and they're going to die over you! Good luck

You've heard what I've done, not what I've been through.
If you were in my shoes, you'd fall the first step."
Good luck! I'm sure you'll do great! Just think how much more experienced and qualified you are now than you were the last time you had to go through all of this!
I can sympathize, though. There's a position open in the area right now that is right down my alley, and I'm probably going to send in an application. The idea terrifies me-- I haven't interviewed in years, either!
You are going to do great! I think they key is to be professional but be able to keep it a bit casual as well. I had some interviews over the past two weeks and I think that is why I got so many call backs. People tend to get so nervous they don't loosen up and come off as stand-offish.
I put in my two weeks on Tuesday this week and it was so awkward. I still like my job but I found something much better for what I want my career to be and its better for me and HH. Best of luck!
That's what I was going to say!!! Just be confident! You will do great!
I'm glad you think it went well!! How soon until you find out?
On an eye crossing note, Adam hates when I do it. He says it makes his eyes hurt just looking at me when I do it. I'm awesome at it and my husband is just a giant wuss.
