Children friendly coffee shops?

I'm planning on meeting 2 friends with infants some day next week to catch up.  We're thinking around the Roseville area and that have toys or something for my 2 year old to do.  Any suggustions?

Re: Children friendly coffee shops?

  • Java Train in St. Paul, kind of near Como Park always has kids in it when I have stopped in for coffee. I think they have an indoor and outdoor play area.
  • I second the Java Train recommendation.  Very cool place, especially if it is nice outside.

  • The Coffee Grounds is another place, very family friendly but not quite sure for a TWO year old.  That's a tough age though you can bring a ton of toys and spread out.  :)  Coffee Grounds is on Hamline Ave not too far from Larpentuer.  But Java Train is definitely the place to go.
  • The Riverview Coffee Shop at 38th ST & 42nd Ave in Minneapolis has a dedicated kid's play area that's awfully nice.

And if you're there after 4:00, you can bring a glass of wine in from the wine bar next door.
