Dave and I were at the gym tonight, and right now they are holding a contest where if you visit the gym 6 times in one calendar month, you get a ballot to win $1000. You just have to get them to sign your card. I obviously hold on to Dave's card for him, because he'll totally lose it. When I got the girl at the front to sign them, Dave was still in the locker room so she was like "oh, is this your brother? Your husband?" (Same last name, obvs). I laughed and said my husband. She looked up at me and said, "Oh, I assumed it was probably your brother. Because you look like you're my age, and people my age usually aren't married." (Note that she is in fact married.) I asked how old she is, and she said 22.
So. A 22 year old thinks that I am her age.
What do 27 year olds look like??
Re: It happened again
Bahahaha! I like that she's actually married and still said this! Hilarious.
And I mean, I'll be 26 on Monday so I guess 27 year olds could look similar to me...
That being said, I often get the "YOU'RE 25?!?!?!" And I don't quite know what they mean by it. Do I look older or younger? How old exactly do they think I look??!?!
When I was young, people always thought I was older. I was 5'3" in 4th/5th grade (still am) and I was a 34B at that point (they've grown quite a bit since at 36DD). In second grade I rode the bus with a girl on the first day of school and she thought I was a 6th grader.
PS... you do have a little bit of a baby face but LOTS of 22 year olds are married... INCLUDING HER, DUH!
I spose 'by.
I should PIP a pic of my mom. Then you'll see where I get the baby face.
Stu, that would be my local accent.
I suppose ... uh...'by is just a term for a person. Like "bud" "guy" etc
Never heard that one. I would say west coasters aren't as quirky. Where are you from again jehawley?
People use to think I was much older than I was. At 12 someone tried to ID me for a kids meal. I was with my mom, and why would I have an ID!? Now people think I'm younger than I am. I'm 26, 27 in March. Right now I'd rather look my age than younger. I'm sure in a few years I'll be wanting to look younger. I am starting to go gray though.
I am 35 years old (soon to be 36) and have been a vet for 8 years. Just a few weeks ago I had a client tell me that I surely wasn't old enough to be a doctor, LOL! I used to get frustrated when people said this but it doesn't happen as much now
I miss it, LOL!
