Thansk guys soo much for the congrats! It really means a lot. We drove around the whole island to find a clear blue digital, and we couldn't find any friggin digitals at all! I mean, I know this place is low key... but really?!! So I'll be picking one up on our drive home this weekend. We did however pick up another test which is a pink dye, and I pee'd all over that friggin thing around 4:30pm after my nap. And that too came up positive. Yay!

Damian and I planned on hiking this monstrous mountain today, and I wanted to wait until we got to the top to tell him. Buuuuttt, I'm terrible with secrets. So on the car ride to the mountain I just blurted out "I think I'm pregnant" and he said "why do you think that?" and I proceeded to tell him I urinated on things and they came out positive, but I wanted a second test to reassure myself. He then sat for a few minutes before saying "So does this mean I can take my really hot showers again?" I just laughed. He takes piping hot showers, burning flesh hot showers. So I told while we were TTC he had to take luke warm showers so he didn't kill the sperm count. Apparently, for once, he had listened. He seems excited, but we're both nervous about a miscarriage, so I think he'll act more excited once we hit around 10 weeks.

It's still super early, so obviously we're not telling anyone yet. I did tell my mom, ...cause she's my mom. So for the normal discretion advised shpeel.. please dont say anything on my fb!

My overly happy baby girl!

  • That is SO cute he changed his shower temp! Lol! I completely understand the nervousness. I knew at about 4 weeks due to charting but didn't accept that it was real until 8 weeks when I saw the first ultrasound and was able to hear his heartbeat. definitely do the digital, its so fun to see PREGNANT!

  • DHs are so cute sometimes!

I too found out supah early...4weeks-ish as well.  I knew approximately when I ovulated, because I used OPKs, and then when I hit 10DPO the testing itch started.  I tested then and thought I saw something, but DH didnt.  So I vowed to wait another 2 days, and tested again at 12DPO and it was clear as day.

There are things along the way that make it real....but not.  Hard to explain.  For me, around week 5-6 I was assed out.  Had 0 energy and then the 24/7 nausea hit.  I thought that feeling like poo would make it "real" but it really didnt start to become so til I first heard the HB, at week 10.  Then after that, I had a 2 week wait til my NT scan at 12 weeks and that made it even more real.  Its hard in first tri-early second tri.  You get all these reassurances along the way, but in between appts, its almost like you start doubting it again (at least it was for me).  You know you are pregnant, and sometimes feel like you are...but you are not showing and not feeling them, so its this weird ambiguity so to speak.  Once I started really show and feel him regularly, then it became "real."  The daily kicks and flops are so reassuring and I love it.  Its such a wild journey.  I hope you enjoy it!

If I hadn't already said so, I am excited for you!
