Re: Have you gotten your proofs of professional pics back yet?
Yes! We got them within 2 weeks. However.... believe it or not, I wish it had taken longer. We got to see them within 2 weeks after our wedding online, and I was so unhappy with the pictures because it seemed like he rushed to get some posted. I fought with him and got all 3000 pictures on DVD's, and there were so many great ones besides the 1000 he posted. All in all, getting the photos so quickly made me miserable primarily because he chose so many dumb ones to make public on the site and secondly because the memories were so vivid in my mind that is was impossible for pictures to capture them so I was disappointed. (I hope this makes sense.) Now that we are over 2 months past the wedding, it is fun to look at the pictures because the memories are not as vivid! I am envious of those who are getting well selected, edited photos now or later! Hang in there!

Our contract said 9-12 weeks, which would be any time now. And, our photographer lives across the country from us (where we got married), so it really seems impossible to get them any time in the near future.

Unfortunately, I am not sure you will have an album by Thanksgiving. Are you going through your photographer or doing one yourself? I am not sure how long doing it yourself takes to get it. But our photographer told us that even if we got him our picture choices now, we would not have our albums by Christmas. So we are not rushing to get it done right now.
