The cherubs...

As some of us in higher ed refer to the students.

TGIF. I am so tired of seeing random girls' shiny, leopard-print bras all week long. Half of the girls here wear "shirts" that only come about 3/4 of the way up over their bra cups. Please cover yourself before you leave your dorm. Please. I do not need to see that. This is called "public."

The worst part is that colder weather doesn't deter this practice at all. The girls just get super-tight "jackets," zip them up halfway, and let the tank tops and bras hang out over top. Then they go around sounding like they're dying of whooping cough all winter. Can't wait.

Re: The cherubs...

  • See, I'll wear what I call a "boob shirt" if I'm going out to a bar or something... Basically just cleavage showing, but not whorebaggish.  I can't imagine wearing something like that to class.  But then again, I was a pj pants and slippers type of student!!

  • Girls at my university totally dressed like they were going to the clubs.  Full hair and makeup, tight jeans and stilettos for 8:30 classes.  There was no way I'd wear pj's to class because I would have been stared down and who needs that?  But I love boobs, so there's that.

  • I don't get why people want to show their bra's off, there's a reason its called "under"wear.

  • My freshman year in college, I didn't care what people thought of me (still don't).  I was living in the dorms on campus, so I would roll out of bed and then walk to class in my pjs... especially for the early morning classes.  My school was very laid back though.

  • Yeah... definitely more than just cleavage showing around here. A lot of girls wear hoodies and jeans or sweats, but there are more than a few who barely wear anything at all. If I ever put on an outfit like that, Matt would correctly assume that I was preparing to seduce him.

If I ever put on an outfit like that, Adam would probably assume that I gave up my day job to become a hooker!!!  Hahahaha

  • Dave would probably ask if I was ovulating*

*he read an article a few years back that said women dress more provocatively in the days surrounding ovulation.  So when I am lounging in my jogging pants and hoodies he'll say things like "You are definitely not ovulating today, huh"

  • Yeah, I'm pretty sure the whole ovulating thing doesn't apply to me.  I dress for comfort!!!

I didn't go to college (yes, I know I'm a loser) but if I had this would have been me. I'm a jeans and hoodie girl.

  • I actually heard that the whole ovulating and dressing-provocatively thing doesn't hold true for women who are on HBC.

It shouldn't hold true because they are not ovulating.  I'm not on BC.

Oh, yes... duh. Can you tell I got half as much sleep as I should have last night? I was thinking of a study I heard about recently that found that strippers make twice as much in tips on nights when they're ovulating as they do on nights when they're on their period. During the rest of the month, they tend to get somewhere in between.

Strippers who are on HBC usually make a consistent amount all month long, but it's much lower-- not that much higher than the menstruation-rate of the girls not on HBC. The people reporting on the study pointed out that it would apparently be a good financial move for strippers to go off birth control if possible.

Personally, I usually feel ugliest about the time that I'm probably ovulating, so I wonder if all of this isn't a load of crap.

LOL..that's exactly what I was thinking Kelly was going to write when she started that post.  Great minds thing alike.  Big Smile

  • Aw man, my college was full of Ugg boots + mini skirt. Even in January. Blech.
  • I went to an arts school for college and so there were lots of fashion students.

And by fashion students, I mean... hot sh!tty messes!  They dressed so terribly most of the time!  There were a few girls who wore the same boots LITERALLY every day! And so many leggings and short t-shirts it's not even funny.

PSA... if you are wearing leggings in public, please wear a shirt that covers your ass (unless you are running/working out)! And if you are a larger girl (I'm not super skinny myself)... please find thicker leggings.  When your BLACK leggings become SEE-THROUGH... it's time to go up a size or two.

Lots of HORRIDLY dressed people in Arts Schools. I'm just sayin.
