My photographer had our photos ready a little early. DH and I went to see them and were very happy with most of what we saw. She was missing some really important ones, like our first kiss, the cake cutting, the toasts, and my bouquet toss. Supposedly, she has them, but her camera had to be taken in for repair and she couldn't get them off before she took it in. Ok, I can deal with that. Before we leave, we agree that I will call them to set up an appointment to put together our wedding book because we have to figure out DH's new 3rd shift schedule first.
I have now called multiple times. I have left four (polite) messages on her office phone. Nothing. We have paid in full. We signed a contract. I want my pictures.
WWYD in this situation? I am beginning to get frustrated and worried. That was a lot of money! Those are my wedding pictures!!! Not just any old day! She really didn't seem like a "scammer" or anything. We had no issues with our engagement photos. Am I reacting to soon/strongly?
Re: Photographer Isuue, WWYD?
I have left the messages over about 2 1/2 weeks, I think. Our wedding was July 30th, so it has been 8 weeks from then. We saw the photos and knew she had them as of August 18th, so it has been 4 weeks since we first saw them at her studio.
I was actually thinking of just showing up. But that's hard because her hours are Tues-Fri 10-5. I work Mon-Fri 8:30-4:30. It would take an hour to get to her studio from where I work. Sooo frustrated just thinking about it. I know she has at least 4 other people who work with her- and none of them have contacted me either. I even tried looking at the website, but it's under construction.
Sorry, I know I'm sounding whiny
Maybe I should just take off early from work and bust her door down. It is Friday after all...

You don't sound whiny at all! I'd be busting down the door, too! I personally think 2 1/2 weeks is way too long to not return a message. And multiple messages at that. I agree with Lauren that if it was only a week maybe something important came up in her life, but this is way too long to be attributed to that. And even if something was up with her, she should have the other people in her office taking care of that sort of business for her. At least filling you in on what's going on. It just seems fishy!! But I'm hoping this situation turns out well for you!! Keep us updated and good luck!
