I'm feeling dejected/rejected....
I put stuff up on Craigslist and haven't received any responses. I guess noone wants my sh$t.
Ha ha!
In need figure out how low I am willing to go in price, should I donate it to my church garage sale next weekend, or put it away for a while and try posting it again. I already have it for great prices, I really don't want ot go too much lower.
Re: I'm feeling dejected/rejected....
I've never had luck selling anything on Craigslist. FreeCycle and I seem to do much better. CL didn't have a Holland listing for the longest time so it was hard to sell anything unless I wanted to drive to meet people.
Anymore, I tend to just donate to Salvation Army or Goodwill and take the tax credit. That way I get a little something out of it, but others will benefit too.
Graco car seat w/base - $30
extra base - $15
10 avent bottles -$10
Avent sterilizer - $8
Halloween Costume $20
Bike trailer/double stroller $30 - this one is going to be a hard sale since it is fall and it has a hard shell so it doesnt' fold up. Bascially you would need a truck to pick it up.
I thought these prices were pretty fair and reasonable.
I have had mixed luck. I either get 5 responses in five minutes or the crickets are chipping when I post.
I was hoping to sell a few things as we are taking a annv trip next Feb. I always like to save up CL money and other change here and there. It usually helps with the spending money.
Maybe it's not the price but the items themselves. Buying a used car seat isn't recommended because apparently if the vehicle has been in an accident the carseat will not work right/be as safe. And people might not be used bottles/sterilizer b/c of the unknown germ factor/not knowing if the sterilizer will work right.
Hopefully you have luck with the bike trailer/double stroller though!

I would never buy a used car seat, but I know some people do.
I think with bottles most people will buy new nipples. The Avent bottles actually do pretty well on ebay, I just don't have an ebay account and I don't want to mess with shipping.
If I don't sell them and the car seat, I will put it in storage for a little longer. I'm kind of afraid that if I sell them, I will be jinking myself anyways.
I was going to respond to your post about the bike trailer: the H bought me one for Mother's Day and we seriously got rid of the box like 2 weeks ago. I would have returned the new one and took yours!

I'm buying your bunting. That takes up a lot of room. Duh.
