I think turning it into a movie will be an absolute disaster and travesty all at once.

I think you can't capture Katniss' essentially cold nature and ambivalence towards both Peeta and Gale without being inside her thoughts.
I think they can't be as violent as it needs to be with children this age and if they are, I think it will either be too hard to watch or too unbelievable.
And I suspect they will turn it into a romantic love triangle type movie which is completely against the story (imo)
