Re: Best Coffee Shops in the Twin Cities?

  • Well seeing as we work with them pretty frequently...and they manager our coffee shop at the state fair...and I just ordered 30lbs of coffee from them I'd have to recommend:

J & S Bean Factory on Randolph Ave in St. Paul, even though I don't drink coffee it always smells good :)

  • SIP.

    Best. Lattes. EVER.

  • I second J&S. I go there every Tuesday night for our knitting group. LOVE it.

  • My favorite coffee place is Kopplin's on Randolph and Hamline in St. Paul.  They make each cup of coffee individually, so it is really fresh and strong.

The Bean Factory is nice too.

  • I used to live right by the Bean Factory so I agree with that choice, however, I have to brag about the place by my house - MayDay Cafe on 35th and Bloomington in South Mpls. And they have delicious things like quiche, huge awesome caramel rolls, etc. Very cute and eclectic.

  • I have been to the Depot in Hopkins and the Daily Grind in Stillwater for gatherings and both were great for those events.

  • I also recommend J&S, as mentioned several times before. I also really like Moose & Sadie's on 3rd Ave. N near Washington Ave. in downtown Minneapolis. Their bakery is amazing and their sandwiches are great, too.

    I love this place too!

I also love the Black Sheep in S. St Paul and the Urban Bean in S Mpls.

  • My favorite coffee shop is called the Overflow in Minneapolis off of University Ave. Its outside of the campus, but the overall age group is mid-late 20s or early 30s.

The atmosphere is fun and most nights its pretty quiet except for the occasional band that will play for a couple hours. They also have some great food.
