This is what happens to your life when you get married

So I just spent the last 3 hours doing homework for grad school. 3 hours. On a Saturday night. I'm such a loser. When I was an undergrad several years ago, I went out all the time. Now I'm spending my Saturday doing homework while DH watches football. But I just finished, so maybe I'll crack open a beer or bottle of wine and join in the fun!!

  • If it makes you feel any better, we rented Alice in Wonderland from Optimum on Demand and I'm sitting here sipping kahula and cream.  It is what it is, so long you're happy, right!

RIP Dr. Irving Fishman - 10/1/19-7/25/10 - thank you for holding on for me.
You made my wedding day complete.

  • hey thats ok. DH and I have been sitting around in our pjs all day. He's been playing his new Metroid Prime game he got and then we had drinks while watching a movie. :P
  • We went to dinner with my parents, H is playing some NCAA 11 football and we bought Halo Reach and are going to play that.

  • I spent yesterday cleaning, doing laundry and packing all while watching football and movies.  DH was back at his parents packing up a lot of his stuff that he never moved in to our apartment to get ready for our move in 2 weeks.  He got home after 9 and we crashed by 11.

  • We were finally able to unload my kids (at the same time!), so we spent a quite evening together watching movies.  Alone.  :p
  • Isn't half the point of getting married so that you DON'T have to go out anymore and have a good excuse for sitting around watching tv on a Saturday night?!  ;-)  Now you can refer to it as "family time"!

  • I wish we had that down time!  It seems that we've got enough "extracurricular"  activities and family/friend commitments that we've barely got a free night.

And I wish my graduate homework only took me 3 hours!  I feel like I'm constantly on the computer, hiding from my hubby in the spare room.  It totally sucks, but I know it's only for two years.  Then we can sit around and do nothing together.
