Where can I buy a formal dress in the area?
I'm talking a floor-length, black-tie-equivalent dress. I am new to the area, and I went to the Cherry Hill mall today, but even Nordstrom was 95% short dresses. I was surprised because it's about to be fall, but maybe that's the style. Regardless, I'm looking for something long, not pageant-y. Any suggestions?

Hi! I think I've seen you on the Military Families board.
I usually get my dresses at Macy's at the Hammonton Mall. I believe the Macy's in Cherry Hill also carries a formal line.
You can also check out www.renttherunway.com. You can rent dresses instead of buying them.
Some shops I know of are:
Jan's Boutique (Cherry Hill, on Rt 70)
Ideal Fashions (Hammonton,on White Horse Pk)
Penina's (Marlton)
There's also a shop kind of by the 70/73 circle, it's not inside the shopping plaza with starbucks/pottery barn/williams sonoma/gap/trader joes BUT it's right at the side entrance, the shop looks like a house but the front always displays beautiful dresses!
