We're remodeling our full bathroom and decided that our old, nasty, original (circa 1970's) bathtub just wouldn't cut it anymore. It's peach colored & impossible to keep clean because it doesn't have the glaze (or whatever it's called) anymore. My IL's offered to just buy a new tub insert for us - the one with the walls & tub combo. My FIL just really felt like we were doing a lot and our old tub would just kill the renovation since it's the first thing you see when you walk in. I'm so taken aback with their generosity and so thankful! Of course we'll be working the big holidays at the flower shop for free next year, but fair is fair.

& we're house-sitting for my parents next week, so the guy is coming to install the new tub next week! It's just great timing because it was gearing up to be a huge PITA since it's our only shower. Now we will just be at my parents so it's not an issue. I'm pretty excited that by next weekend we'll have a finished bathroom.
Re: woohoo! bathroom remodel
That's very nice of your IL's to offer to help out with the renovation! Can't wait to see the finished product.
We just started finishing our basement this weekend. Actually bought our new tub today. I can attest that they aren't cheap or light weight!
