lazy sunday

So today I woke up and was thinking about how I was going to finish my homework for the week, but then I realized the discussion doesn't open until tonight at midnight. So instead I'm laying around watching movies.

Anyone else being lazy?

Re: lazy sunday

  • We're off to an art show in the park today, and then the ILs are coming back from Niagara tonight so I have to make dinner for them.

We've spent one day together, and I'm already exhausted. His father is, we're convinced, somewhere mild on the Austism spectrum. He has no sense of social cues.

  • I'm being lazy too. We drove 2 hours each way to a birthday party yesterday with a bunch of screaming kids and, getting over this cold that's been haunting me for 5 days now, I'm exhausted. I just want to lay around with the boys and watch cartoons and movies all day and do some homework with Gibson.

  • I just got back from my w1d3 run of c25k, and now I'm debating doing some stuff around the house or being lazy.  I think laziness will probably win.  B is watching the Bears pregame show and reading the paper.  I'll probably go watch a movie or something until the actual game starts.  MO, you watching anything good?

  • There is nothing wrong with a lazy Sunday. I have managed to get some things done today but at a slower pace. I am okay with that. I am now motivating myself to move all the paint/sanding crap in the baby's closet to the shed since it is finished.
  • I watched some girly movies, and now I'm kinda watching the packer game, and also snuggling/napping with sully. I like having one day to do nothing around the house,

  • I'm having a lazy Sunday too. I slept in until 10, and then stayed in bed for an hour watching tv. I had a bagel with cream cheese because it's one of the few things I can tolerate in the morning. Since I'm still not supposed to do anything around the house, I can't imagine I'll do much besides some reading. I may ask Manuel to take me out to dinner just to get out of the house though.

  • Partly lazy I guess.  I went to my first pilates class in probably 3 months, so that was completely painful.  But then I balanced that with a nice hot bath, some lazy reading and now we're relaxing watching some tv after supper.

  • We went to church, ran an errand, came home and put lunch on, then laid down for a nap.  Jim is still sleeping, but I'll go wake him up in a few minutes to eat.

  • Lazy Sundays are what we're all about. I made baked oatmeal last night so breakfast would be easy this morning. Breakfast and mimosa's, followed by laying around. I really wanted to try making chianti braised short ribs, so that's what I have on for dinner tonight. I like using Sunday's to experiment with recipes that might not work during the work week. Only other thing on the agenda is building a new laptop online to order and laundry.

  • I got home from Boston around 11 this morning after visiting my friend for the weekend.  Since then I have eaten some cheese and crackers, a pear, and an apple, and finished reading Catching Fire.  We just ran out to the store quickly, but that was the extent of our productivity today...

  • We just got back from a 4 hour hike.  Great views and a great time with friends.  Now we're watching some football, then I'm going to make turkey enchiladas and zucchini bread.

  • I'm jealous of everyone else's lazy Sundays!

I had to work 8-12, then out to see Mark's grandma who isn't doing very well (95 years old, in a rest home and now has pneumonia), then to see my grandparents because they want me to print some wedding pics.

Our good friends had a baby this morning so we went up to the hospital to see them and now we just got home and finished dinner.  Overall, a busy day and I resigned to the fact that I wouldn't get a chance to run hours ago.  I will  be lazy for the rest of the night!

  • We just finished dinner. I finally got the chance to actually make one of the August Cooks recipes that was posted. We had the Thai pork lettuce wraps. It wasn't bad, but it's not something the hubs was overly thrilled with, so I think it will go into a maybe pile.

We finally got some fish for our saltwater tank today.

It's fun to have some color in there other than the live rock and sand. We also loaded up on regular crabs and hermit crabs to help keep the tank clean. Some of our rock came with snails, so we were set with those. Our other friend is a chocolate chip starfish. It's been fun. Hopefully everyone stays alive, because these are nowhere as cheap to buy as our freshwater fish.

Now I'm off to blog about our lettuce wraps.

  • Kind of a lazy Sunday. We went for a long walk, and we did get some things done (writing for him, job app for me), but it was pretty low-key. We just ordered dinner from our local deli and have been reading all evening. It's our last quiet Sunday for a few weeks, come to think of it.
