Well karma is a b! and I think my boss' time has finally come! The lawyer is looking over documents for that project that she sat and sat on all summer and is questioning about 90% of how things were done. I've been honest and said I did x, then my boss redid it to y, etc. I will not be thrown under the bus on this one.
DH leaves today to head out to sea until late Thursday night. It's going to be weird for him to be gone, but I know he's going to have a blast while out there. Unfortunately Sadie is sick again, but hopefully she'll be better by the time he's home.
Hope everyone has a great day!
Re: Morning ladies!
Morning! Everything went fine this weekend! Once my mom came and picked Campbell up and we were on the road I was able to not worry about him and then we were busy busy with the wedding that I didn't dwell on the fact I would be away from him that night. My mom texted me once he was asleep and that made me feel better too.
We had a ton of fun at the wedding too, I was amazed I didn't fall asleep at 10! We got down to Richmond early so I was able to pump in the hotel before the wedding and then pumped in the car before the reception so that stressor went okay.
Then Sunday we got home and got to meet Mar and her hubby! Oh yeah, and I got all my laundry done
.
Morning! Shaina I wondered when something would happen with your boss. Summer I am so glad you had fun at the wedding!!
We didn't do much we had my niece and took her to a carnival/festival it was cute to see dh with her. I especially looooved listening to their conversation on the way to the car (she is three) when he was carrying her. The car was very farrrrrr away and dh decided we didn't need to take the shuttle.
DH: 'Uncle Scott's arm is about to fall off"
Niece: "YOUR ARM IS GOING TO FALL OFF!!!! "::gasp::
DH: "Sophia do you drink whole milk or 2%"?
Sophia ::giggle, giggle:: what's that????? hee heee
DH: "Maybe we should switch you over to skim"?
Sophia: "Uncle Scoooooootttt" ::screechy giggle followed by hiding her face in her jacket::
Poor guy has no idea what is (hopefully) in store for him one day, he has yet to have ventured into to the world of car seat carrying.
Saturday DH left the house for a few hours so I had some alone time. It was great. We were both starting to go crazy because he's been stuck at home. So it was a great destresser to just lounge at home by myself. I got the living room, kitchen and half bath cleaned, and baked 2 cakes while he was gone. Saturday evening I rolled the 2 cakes for cake balls (158 of them).
Yesterday, I ran a couple quick errands, dipped the cake balls, got some quality time with DH which we have been lacking since he broke his leg.
Shaina- keep us posted with what happens with your boss. I'm glad someone is finally noticing everything that you've been struggling with. Stick up for what you've done so that you don't get caught up in her mess.
I'm crazy tired at work today. Drew's clients bailed at the last minute so I got to go to the Colts game with him and some friends. It was awesome, but I am definitely ready for a nap now. We had a great weekend with my college friends. We had one of my friends and her fiance stay with us all weekend and then we went to another friend & her hubby's house to play poker. All in there were 4 couples, and us wives know each other really well, but the boys are somewhat new to each other so we try to include them a lot more now. Lots of drinking, lots of story telling, and lots of fun.
My favorite quote from the weeked happened during part of the poker game in a conversation between my BF's hubby and Drew. Drew randomly says "Dude, I'm like a freight train of awesome."
