SB, I need help

Since you're our resident design expert: For my theoretical future bedroom. I love this set, but would it look good with greige walls? Similar to your living room?

I haven't seen it in person, but it says taupe on a "platinum" background...

ETA: for reference, our furniture:

  • Not SB, but do you have a paint color picked out? I think your best bet would be to take a paint swatch (or a few) to a store and check it out in person. I love that bed set, though.

Also, is that dresser from IKEA? Do you have it already? When I was pregnant I was looking at that dresser for our future nursery and am still thinking it might be the one, but how is the quality? I don't have any IKEA furniture.

  • Yup, from Ikea! Honestly, I think the quality sucks but we've moved it to 2 different apartments and I'm sure that has something to do with it. If it's going to stay in one place, I'm sure it would be ok. They claim it's "solid wood", but I highly doubt it.

  • Also not SB, but I love that!  Like, a lot alot.  And I think it would look great, but I like the suggestion of taking a paint swatch in store to check it out in person
  • I like that too. I love our CRATE AND BARREL BEDDING.

  • I love, love, LOVE that bedding.  And on my screen it looks like it would be perfect.  Taupe and greige are different names for the same color, anyway.

Take a swatch with you to the store, but I would think if you buy the bedding first, you can find a greige you love that will work with it.  I think it will look great with your furniture and greige walls, especially if you add some color in with accent pillows or art and stuff.

  • I love it too Bethie!  But don't go to greige on greige.  I want some pops of color or contrast in that room.  Not much.  Maybe a colorful lamp or vase.  It's really great though.

I wouldn't mind seeing it in person but our nearest IKEA is almost 3 hours away so we'll have to wait and see. Considering I'm not KU again yet we have some time.

Also, the more I look at that bedding the more I love it.

I have no idea why this is all in caps but it's cracking me up.

Thanks, guys! I asked for the bedding for my birthday, to which Tim replied "You want bedding? As a birthday present?" Yes. Yes I do.

Hopefully we'll be moving in the early spring. I need a bigger place.
