How to remove burnt stain on pot?

Pot was a bit too hot when I added veggies and the EVOO and veggies stained the bottom of the pot.

I scrubbed and scrubbed to no avail. Any tips?

TIA!

  • Bar Keepers Friend! Make a paste with a bit of water and scrub with a rough sponge! Makes my All Clad look brand new!

  • Thanks so much!! I was super disappointed that soap and elbow grease didn't work because I thought it was the end of  my super nice pot.

    Thanks again!

  • I always put a little bit of dish soap and hot water in it, then heat it on low on the burner for awhile, dump out the water and scrub - it'll be hot but it works most of the time for me!
  • I've always added enough water to cover the stain, added about a 1/4 C of Baking Soda, 1/4 C salt and let it simmer on the stove for a while. It really helps break down the burnt on food/oil.
