Re: QOTD

  • I've seen:

-Peter, Paul, and Mary (My mom took me in elementary school)

-'NSync (in middle school and I was in literally the highest row possible)

-Papa Roach (first and only time I crowd surfed)

    -Red Hot Chili Peppers

    -Foo Fighters

-Good Charlotte (probably worst show I've ever been to just because we had floor tickets and we were surrounded by a bunch of 12 year olds-I was 17 or 18 at the time).

-Green Day (best show I've ever seen)

    -Mark Schultz

    -The Styx

    -Neil Diamond

    -Jimmy Buffett

  • A lot... Paul McCartney, U2, Silversun Pickups, NIN, Metallica, Andrew Bird, Josh Ritter, Against Me, Rise Against, and Mumford and sons is coming up in November!

That's all I can think of right now. I love seeing live music and go whenever I can.

  • Oh dear, I know I'm going to forget a lot, especially all the ones at festivals, and excluding the cover bands and local bands that we've seen:

Canadian Bands: Blue Rodeo, Sarah Mclachlan, Gowan, Tragically Hip, Great Big Sea, Irish Descendents, Celine Dion

Other: Madonna, U2, Coldplay, Guns n Roses, Metallica, Gwen Stefani, David Bowie, Sting, Billy Joel (with appearances by Paul McCartney, Garth Brooks, Steven Tyler), Fiest, Tracey Chapman, Ray LaMontagne, Barry Manilow, Faith No More, Smash Mouth, Bon Jovi

ETA: I forgot Dave Matthews Band, Barenaked Ladies and Van Morrison.

Funny looking through it all - it's a bit of a mixed bag!

  • I've only seen Bif Naked at a New Years Bash one year and then I went to A taste of Chaos a few years ago that had a whole bunch of metal bands, I don't remember who played. I was hammered before I got there.

I am so jealous you got to see David Bowie!  Also sting, and that Billy Joel concert sounds awesome.

My DH's first concert ever was Billy Joel and Elton John... He totally didn't appreciate it.

  • I have seen Dave Matthews Band several times. Other bands I have seen include: Fergie, Daughtry, Third Eye Day, John Mayer, and Josh Kelley. I know there are more, but this is the list that I can think of right now.
  • Usher, Mariah Carey, John Legend, Michael Buble (with raynes!). I've never been much of a concert-goer... most of these were my ex-BF's idea (except Michael Buble).

I so didn't appreciate David Bowie - I think I was like 11 or something.  But Billy Joel was the best concert I've ever been to - his big Last Play at Shea in NY two years ago.
