High quality photo printing?

Hi ladies!  I haven't been on here much since my wedding in June, and I miss it!

I finally got my act together to get my wedding dress cleaned and preserved...3 months later.  I think I'm just sad to pack it away in a box.

Anyway, question...I got my photos on CD from my photog.  Can anyone recommend a high-quality print shop to print some of the photos, like 8x10 size, etc.?  I want something that's better in quality than the usual Snapfish, for example.  But I don't want to pay the arm and leg that Pictage (the site my photog hosted the photos on) was charging me.

Thanks in advance ladies!!!!

Re: High quality photo printing?

  • hey liz, have you ruled out flickr? i've purchased from them (through qoop not snapfish), and it turned out well :) granted, they weren't wedding photos...

  • I'm a photographer. I'll give you the scoop. Your photog sets his/her prices on pictage. Did you get a full resolution CD or DVD with the copyright to print for your own purposes? If yes, you may be able to find a great place locally. You can do a search on pro photo lab in your area.

An option for everyone is www.mpix.com  You just upload the images, select your specs and put it on your credit card. They mail to your door. They are wonderful. The quality is great.

  • I was going to post mpix too...haven't used them myself, but always see them as a reference from pro photogs.

BTW, welcome to the board and congrats on your GORGEOUS wedding!  I had orange and green at my wedding in Kauai too (so did Alix aka Beach Bubbles)...great colors for a HI wedding!

I am originally from SF and live in Tulsa right now.  We have another nestie, Jaime (MrsPresley) from CA who lives in Dallas...perhaps we should have a GTG someday...Jaime (Hawaiian Honey) is also from CA and lives near Tulsa too..we could drive down or meet halfway in OK City!

I live in OK City and would love to have a GTG!! I know some great little spots we could meet up at :) I got to meet Liz in Maui on her wedding day, but it was for a split second at Olowalu picking up a parasol.
