anyone use real simple hangers?

im organizing my closet and want new hangers. i like the thin velvet covered ones and saw the real simple at bed bath and beyond. any reviews?

Re: anyone use real simple hangers?

  • I have used these hangers for years on most things. As long as I'm not putting something on the hanger that still needs to dry, the velvet has never rubbed off.

I do have a few sweaters that I hang that I think are too heavy for the hangers, but I consider that a rare except. I love the space savings that they do provide.

  • We have velvet hangers similar to the real simple ones, I love them. Saves space and no dents on my clothes.

However, I always buy them from TJ Maxx, Marshalls, HomeGoods etc for much cheaper.

  • I love these style of hangers, I bought a few of these at bbb before I realized costco sold their brand 50 pack for 15.00! I re-did my entire closet and Love it!

  • Ditto on the costco versions if you can.  If you're not a member, I've heard you can go there and use a trial membership for a day.  Otherwise Marshalls is good.
  • the real simple  come in a set of 50 for $30, only $24 after 20%coupon and come in 3 different colors. if anyone is interested
  • I also just bought the Real Simple 50 hanger set. I need more! I thought 50 would be plenty but it wasn't. I know you can get similar hangers less expensively other places, but what I like about the Real Simple ones is the extras- the built in hook for cascading hangers, the built in scarf/belt bar. That's why I went with them and I'm very happy with them. I too, used the BBB 20% off coupon.

My only complaint so far about the velvety-covered hangers is that getting my t-shirts off them takes a lot longer than a slippery hanger. Yes, I hang my t-shirts. I like to be able to look in my closet and see all my clothes rather than rifle through a drawer.
