Just got electricity and cable back!
Our neighborhood was DESTROYED in this tornado (same neighborhood as musiscout). Our neighbor's huge tree snapped in half and took out our cable wires, and our entire block lost power in half our house (we had power upstairs and in the basment but not on our main floor). Electricity came on last night, cable came on today.
This was insanity. I felt like I was in the Wizard of Oz. And having no power and no tv with a newborn is NO fun.....

I was wondering about you, since you hadn't been on here yet. At least you had some power for the baby.
I always thought of tornados as in the Wizard of Oz or wiping out a whole town. A lot of trees took out power cables, cars and windows. But I haven't seen any house damage in the area, unless a tree fell on the house. It has a HUGE inconvenience and there will be work to clean it up, but I feel lucky that it wasn't devastating.
