A Little One Update...

I figured since I had Shutterfly open, I would go ahead and share some more pictures of the girls. Please feel free to share about your little one.

Re: A Little One Update...

  • Allison actually had a growth spurt so there is a noticable height difference between the two now. You can tell in this picture. However there is less than a two pound difference between the two. Amelia is short and solid.

Allison had her FIRST haircut last week at the age of three. She was so excited that Miss Erin came over to cut her hair. I will have to post pictures later. I really need to get Amelia's hair cut, but she was napping when Erin came over.

At times they are so sweet with each other. Amelia accidently dropped something and it hit Allison's face (she was laying down). Amelia put her head on Allison's chest, was giving her kisses and rubbing her head. You could tell she felt bad and wanted Allison to feel better. It made my heart melt. In this picture, they were sitting next to each other on a bench when Allison leaned over and put her head on Mia's shoulder.

Then we have moments like these

    image

Allison knows how to get under Amelia's skin by taking things away from Mia and not letting her play. Mia was sitting in the car seat and got out to look at the picture I just took of her. Allison slide right in, knowing it would tick Mia off.  Then we have times where Amelia is a bully and will plow right over Allison. We are trying to teach Allison how to stand up to Amelia without encouraging Allison to hit back.

  • Your girls are so dang cute! Love the pictures!

  • Ben is cutting 5 teeth right now - 4 molars and a canine tooth.  He is in absolute hell, and so am I.  Motrin only helps for a few hours, so I ordered a baltic amber teething necklace and after 2 days I can tell he is a little less cranky.  Maybe coincidental, but I think the hippie voodoo is working ;)  Mostly though he just wants his pacifier(s) nonstop, and my siggy pic is the result of him having access to more than one lol.

Here are a couple of recent pics:

Where did this pic get taken??  Great pix everyone!

  • I don't know if this will work but here are some recent pix of my kiddos:

  • I am hesitating in posting this but J is being transitioned to the big boy bed where he will sleep with Pete.  Pete is supposed to stay on the top bunk and J on the bottom.  We've had two nights of this so far so that is why I'm not sure if this is going to stick or not.  First night, they slept in their separate beds.  It was so cute because you could hear them giggling and calling each others' name and then they fell asleep.  Last night, Pete went and slept with J in his bed on the bottom bunk.  Absolutely sweet but not sure if that is a good thing or not.  The real test will be naps and keeping J in the bed.  J thinks he's the coolest because he gets to wake up in the morning on weekdays with his big brother and sister and watch cartoons while we get ready.

  • These pictures are so cute!

At a park in Flint.  We have some similar playground equipment at the school in my neighborhood if you are looking for something like it though!

GL with the big boy bed transition - I want to keep Ben in his crib forever lol.

  • Millenium park has something very similar to the equipment in the picture. In fact that is where I had assumed the picture was taken.
  • All these photos are making me smile.  What cuties!

  • I can't believe Baby Rebel is going to be 3 months on Wednesday.  Where the heck has the time gone?

He's doing so well.  He wakes up smiling, which makes it easier for Mommy to be up at 8am everyday.  He's close to giggling, but not quite yet.  He's doing really good with his meds, so well that we no longer have to see the specialist every week.  It's been about 4 weeks since we saw them, and we go back on Thursday.  He'll get his 3rd u/s at the end of October to see how his liver is doing.  Hopefully then we can transition him off the meds completely!

My siggy pic is from last week.

  • I love these updates.  I'm glad to see the kids, and read that Baby Rebel is doing well.

Henry has turned into Dr. Jekyl/Mr. Hyde.  Which means 2 must be around the corner (next month).  Overall, he is the most joyfull person I've ever met.  But at least four times a week he has on the ground, pounding and screaming fits that last for an hour.  Today's tantrum was about taking his pjs off.

Willa had a rough weekend last week.  Not only did she lose 1/2 of her preschool class to kindergarten, but her bff moved to Grand Haven AND she got really sick and needed breathing treatments and steroids.  She's much, much better now.  We're kind of just waiting for an asthma dx.

The two of them together... he's pushing boundaries, and she tells on him for everything.  He gets her mad, and she says she won't play with him for the rest of the week.  I put them in seperate rooms, and they cry for each other.  Shrug.

  • Mere is amazing. She is doing SO well. She know uses the signs more, milk, drink, all done and please. Her sign for hungry is to run to her high chair and point at it <img class=" src="http://grbaby.freeforums.org/download/file.php?icon=lol_.gif" /> We've been doing lots of animal sounds lately and she does dog, cat, cow, chicken (flaps her "wings" for this, too), snake, horse, bear, lion and tiger. She also does "people" sounds: "What does mommy say?" She answers "Yeye yoo yoo!" for I love you :hearts: She has the same answer for grandma and daddy, but says, "BlahBlah" when asked what Auntie Kendra says :rolfmao: She is my little helper. I ask her to do something and she does it! She loves helping me push the vacuum and she took care of ALL of her bibs out of the laundry yesterday two at a time <img class=" src="http://grbaby.freeforums.org/download/file.php?icon=smile_.gif" />
