Hi ladies, I'm a central PA nestie, but will be going down to Raleigh for a wedding this weekend. I wanted to get some suggestions as to what to do.. we also have an almost 6 month old, so something that would also be fun for her would be great too. Thanks!
Re: Visiting Raleigh
There are quite a few museums in Raleigh that are nice to visit. Marbles Kid Museum NC Museum of Natural Sciences NC Museum of History NC Museum of Art
You could also visit the Duke Gardens (in Durham) or NC Botanical Garden (in Chapel Hill)
On Friday starting at 7pm there is live music at Seaboard Station. This event is very family friendly, but bring a lawn chair or get there early (6ish) with a blanket to get a spot on the grass.
On Saturday (1pm to 10pm) there is a celebration for Hillsborough Street Opening in downtown Raleigh
You could also visit the NC State Farmer's Market or the Raleigh Flea Market
This is a great website for other events going on in downtown Raleigh.
HTH!! Enjoy!
