New guy started here last Monday. I got him in-processed and all set up for training, etc. and then he went over to the building where he is going to be sitting permanently. He literally calls me at least 5 times a day for stupid sh!t. Seriously??? Take some initiative or ask someone over there. Don't call me and ask me the same thing that you've already asked me twice.
Sorry... vent over.
Re: Really, new guy???
Thats alright, everyone needs a good vent every once in a while!
Can you refer him to ask people in his department? Or just make him feel reallllly dumb.
Or start calling him every five minutes to ask ridiculous "checking up" questions. Like "do you remember your password for the computer?" "did you close the door behind you?" "did you refill the coffee pot when you finished the last of it?"
I'm tired, leave me alone.
This is what I'm thinking... sorry stu
AAAAAAND now other new guy is questioning everything I tell him.
Him: I have my CAC card now, so I can just log into any computer right?
Me: No, because you have to get an account request approved by bossman and then the account set up and then IT has to come set up your profile on a computer....
Him: So I have to have an account first??
ME: Yes. It's a step by step process and there are certain things that have to be done first before the next thing can be completed.
Him: So once they get the account set up, I can log in to any computer?
Me: **facepalm** No, you have to get the account set up and then they have to come and set up your profile.
Listening comprehension fail.....
