What a week...
Well I have been MIA for a bit! Last the hubs got a phone call from his parents early in the morning to let us know that his grandfather had passed away. Everyone knew it was going to happen soon, but it was still tough. Tuesday morning at 5am DH and I, his parents, and his brother and his brother's fiance piled into a van and took a 22 hour drive out to Texas. It would have been over $3,000 for all 6 of us to fly at short notice, so we decided that was the best option.
The 15th was my 25th birthday. We spent the first 10hrs finishing up the drive, and then 4 hours in a funeral home. Happy birthday to me! I really dont mean to sound bitter at all, I understand things like this are obviously uncontrollable, but it still was a bummer
Then 22 hrs back home. We got home at 10ish on Saturday night, and then I had to get up early for a full day of wine tasting for his brother's fiance's bachelorette party. Then up early again for work.
I think I am still exhausted!
I'm done with the "wah, wah, wah" now
