i used to collect turtles. i don't actively do it anymore, but i have a ton of stuffed ones and figurines, books, a giant one that sits in my reading chair in the corner of my office when i'm not using it (and sometimes when i am), and even a turtle tattoo. i can't think of anything else i collect...
c collects shot glasses. every time we go somewhere she gets one, and often our friends bring them back for her when they travel.
Leanne "collects" Stephen King books. She has to buy everyone in hardback when it comes out.
Other than that, no. Well, we are seemingly collecting kids books. I feel like we have kids books in every room in our house (and the car!)
For proof of my picture addition--here are pictures of the pictures I did this week:)

I think they all look nice in our china hutch (it's the same one dutchess has) A nice mix of traditional and modern, worldly.
Okay, I finally did a tiny url. Can anyone help me put a (smaller) picture in my post? Like the lovely aprons?

No collections here, thank goodness. We made a pact with each other to not collect things, though every now and then I cast a suspicious eye towards S's ever-growing stash of shoes (who knew the more "butch" one of us would be the shoe lover, while I-- the one who tends towards "femme"-- live on two pairs of work shoes [one brown, one black], one pair of tennies, and one pair of house shoes?!).
I did inherit a collection of music boxes from my beloved great aunt and namesake. Not quite sure where they are (attic? storage?), but if I ever live in a mansion I will make sure to get a nice curio cabinet for them. ;-)

We buy a Christmas ornament every time we go on vacation. That serves three purposes:
(1) Adds to our currently very skimpy ornament collection in a meaningful way
(2) Makes tree decorating really fun since we get to relive memories while we do it
(3) Prevents us from buying tacky souvenirs that we really want at the time but would regret later?
I think that's about it. I have a lot of shoes, but I don't consider this a collection because?they're functional and I never buy ones that I don't plan on using at least semi-regularly. We also have some complete book sets - Harry Potter, Twilight, etc. and DVD sets - Buffy, and one beautiful day I will have all the West Wings - but those are functional too.?
I love the ornament idea, and am absolutely drooling over your future complete West Wing collection!

leap in my family we get an ornament every year which represents that stage in life (often it is from a trip that we took). When S and I moved in together my mom boxed up all my ornaments and so I have a complete set (well at least 35) that cover my life so far. It is a cool collection and I will be starting it with our kids when we have them. I always look forward to seeing what my mom picks out for me.
As for other collections I don't have any but S has a huge sports card collection that she is trying to organize so that there is room for a baby in the 2nd bedroom when we need it. I blogged about it here http://darwinsmommies.blogspot.com/2008/09/who-would-have-known-it.html
Hmm... Travis seems to collect everything. Damn boy is a pack rat. Lol. He loves hockey cards especially, but only gets them once a year.
I don't really collect anything per se (at least I don't think about things I buy as part of a collection)... but the amount of purses I own is reaching "collection" size, and I tend to buy t-shirts whenever I go somewhere new. I also own a freakin ton of books.
Oh, movies! We have a HUGE movie collection.

I collect pink pyrex from the 50s/60s. It's awesome and makes me smile!
K collects watches, concert t-shirts (but doesn't wear them), first edition books, nutcrackers....and probably a few more things I can't think of right now.
